Psychology Undergraduate Minor

The program learning outcomes and assessment methods for the Psychology undergraduate minor have not be distinguished from the learning outcomes and assessment methods of the Psychology undergraduate major.

Assessment Method Cumulative final exam questions (or all exam questions if final is not cumluative) specific to psychology concepts, perspectives, and findings. Assessed at 200-, 300-, and 400-level courses. Rubric measuring (0-2) student proficiency on (1) designing research; (2) conducting research; (3) evaluating research; and (4) drawing appropriate conclusions. Instructors in PSY methods courses use the rubric to evaluate final papers and/or exams. Rubric measuring (0-2) student proficiency on (1) applying psychological principles; (2) effective writing skills; and (3) effective presentation skills. Instructors in PSY courses use the rubric to evaluate assignments relevant to one or more sub-bullets.Rubric measuring (0-2) proficiency on (1) applying ethical standards; (2) recognizing and respecting human diversity; and (3) undertanding limits of one's own knowledge.
