An academic program is a combination of courses and/or requirements that lead to a credential. At OSU, majors, minors, and certificates are considered academic programs. Options are functionally part of a major.
Academic programs have: program learning outcomes; a defined curriculum; and a process and metrics to evaluate whether students completing the program have achieved the learning outcomes (i.e. assessment).
